It is not necessary to buy a new machine for each bed diameter. You can convert your existing pregouging machine to the required bed diameter using the replacement bed shown here (for example from oboe to cor anglais or baroque oboe). Only two screws have to be loosened and you are ready to roll. The matching key is included.

With this handy pregouger, you'll easily cut cane to the right width. The construction of the bed allows pushing the entire length of the cane under the blade. Thanks to this, the cane is trimmed along its total length, and can be extracted easily. The carbon steel blade assures a long lifespan of the cutting edge. The plastic pushrod protects the blade, while its natural wooden handle lies comfortably in the hand.
