The idea was born in Oxford:
When Erik Waldejer tried some Baroque Oboes, he noticed a clumsy mute. This little trinket inspired him to experiment with a new mute for the Modern Oboe.
Driven by passion and precision, he spent years developing more than 50 prototypes all with one goal: to allow oboists to play softer without sacrificing sound quality or intonation.
The result is unique: A mute that works reliably from low g1 down to low Bb, gently softens the edge of the tone, and remains almost invisible. Made of fine wood, finished in elegant black lacquer:
A small masterpiece for big musical moments.
